Job Description

We are looking for a Payroll & HR Specialist to manage the end-to-end payroll process for all New Zealand employees and support the HR team with contracts, system onboarding and reporting. You will also play a key role in system implementation projects with the team! This is a permanent part-time position (0.8 FTE) based in our head office in East Tamaki. You will be reporting to the Total Rewards Manager ANZ and work alongside a supportive HR team across New Zealand and Australia!
Are you up for this challenge? 

In this role, you will:

  • Ensure accurate weekly and monthly end-to-end payroll processing for all New Zealand employees
  • Manage employee changes and maintain accurate and up-to-date employee information on both payroll and HR systems
  • Generate and run reports to share with the local, regional, and global teams, and use data to provide useful insights to our business
  • Retain up-to-date knowledge of New Zealand payroll legislation, ensuring our processes and procedures are updated when required
  • Support the HR team throughout the employee lifecycle in relation to contracts, onboarding, offboarding, letters and general administration
  • Lead system implementation projects and support the wider HR team when required

For this role as a Payroll & HR Specialist, we’re looking for someone who has the following skills and experience:

  • You are confident in and have proven experience with NZ payroll processing
  • You are a quick learner, system savvy and detail-oriented
  • You are confident and capable of working with MS Excel to efficiently process and report on large amounts of data
  • You are analytical and enjoy crunching numbers to provide useful insights
  • You have experience working with HRIS systems, previous experience with SuccessFactors will be highly regarded
  • You have working knowledge of NZ payroll and employment legislation
  • You are confident in leading projects and taking the initiative to drive positive outcomes
  • Valid NZ working rights
